Prosegur cash designs innovative mobile financial services center for 58,000 inhabitants of rural and suburban areas of barcelona
Created for Barcelona City Hall, the revolutionary mobile ATM service, already in operation, provides access to financial services for a hundred municipalities.
Madrid, 07 May 2024. Prosegur Cash has designed a revolutionary mobile ATM service for Barcelona City Hall that provides access to financial services in rural and suburban areas of the northeastern Spanish province. This new service, crucial for financial inclusion, will benefit nearly 58,000 inhabitants of approximately one hundred municipalities that lack bank branches and ATMs. This joint effort responds to the urgent need to provide essential banking services to the entire population.
The Prosegur Cash mobile ATM, which was launched a few days ago in the, Alto Penedés, Anoia and Garraf areas of Barcelona province, is an example of technological innovation and sustainability. Designed to comply with EURO-6 emissions regulations, this special vehicle significantly reduces environmental impact while providing essential services. In addition, it is equipped with solar panels that ensure up to 28 hours of autonomy and an electric generator that provides another eight hours of independent operation, thus guaranteeing uninterrupted service, even in remote locations.
This vehicle is more than a mobile ATM; it is an advanced financial services center offering everything from cash withdrawals to balance and transaction inquiries, PIN changes and prepaid card recharging. Users can also make payments and arrange to pay local taxes by direct debit, demonstrating the commitment of Prosegur Cash and Barcelona City Hall to provide access to government services through state-of-the-art technology.
Committed to security, Prosegur Cash has implemented its patented end-to-end secure communications utility model, as well as integrating advanced CCTV, alarm and fire systems. These systems are connected to Prosegur's Alarm Reception Center, allowing a fast and effective response to any incident. In addition, the vehicle offers real-time monitoring of accounting and technical incidents, allowing it to adapt flexibly to the conditions and needs of any location.
The mobile ATM also features sophisticated tracking and geolocation technology, ensuring that its every movement is recorded and monitored to maximize route efficiency and security. Thanks to this development, the vehicle can operate 24 hours a day, ensuring constant access to financial services in areas that previously had limited or no access to such facilities.
