Empowered Women is the programme through which we empower women's talent, promote her leadership and boost their careers.
The programme
In 2021 the Project, already underway in Spain, is currently being extended to Portugal and 14 countries in Latin America; and will be extended to all the Company's countries.
Empowered Women is a firm commitment to female talent based on three pillars:
Consciousness
Through different sessions where various gender issues are raised. The last session held in Spain was attended by more than 1000 people and dealt with the impact of the unconscious biases that we are currently experiencing in the business world. We have experts in the field who give us their vision of the role of women within the company and keys to the future.
Acting
The High-Performance Women Program provides individualized monitoring of the career plan for women with the greatest responsibility. The program also includes continuous and specific training in key competencies, the creation of forums for the sharing of concerns and experiences or the reporting, by the Human Resources department, of their progress, skills acquired or challenges faced. In addition, networking meetings are organized, such as the one held recently, the video summary of which is shown below:
Motivate
The Empowered Women Scholarships, developed together with the Prosegur Foundation and open to all female employees regardless of their position, and focused on operational personnel (security guards, assistants, etc.), bring training programs to those women who have not had the resources, time or support necessary to access them. The scholarship program also includes support from women with a long track record in the company.
Society impact and sustainable leadership
Empowered Women represents Prosegur's flagship of the importance of promoting female employment in the private security sector, a historically male sector which, according to APROSER, will still have only 13% of women in 2021.
Thus, the Project is emerging as a hinge of change in the sector in general, in which women are called to play a major role.
The fact that this initiative is open to all the women in the organisation also implies the possibility of facilitating training programmes that allow professional development for those women who have not had the resources, time or accompaniment to access them, favouring their promotion and positioning.
Influence on the business model and alignment with the 2030 Agenda
We have developed Empowered Women based on our strong conviction that diversity is a competitive advantage for Prosegur.
In our environment we celebrate inclusion and equality, and therefore we seek to boost women's careers in the company and promote their leadership while creating synergies in all spheres and business lines of the Group.
In addition, the programme seeks to have an impact on all levels of Prosegur, turning the classic model of private security companies upside down: Empowered Women aims to bring women with responsibility to the highest positions in the company and provide its operational staff and analysts with the key skills to become more competitive profiles with a more developed strategic vision.

Innovation
Empowered Women is not only an innovative programme because of its focus on the promotion and visibility of women nor for the fact that, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been able to be implemented and be a complete success within the company in an almost 100% remote mode.
The truly innovative nature of the project is its global scope which, in addition to strengthening the company's female talent, manages to connect women from different regions of the world and provides opportunities to women from all professional categories of the Prosegur family, both operational and office staff.
Target & indicators
Prosegur has set the objective of increasing the representation of women in management positions by up to five points over the next three years.
Beyond this long-term objective, the different initiatives of the programme have several monitoring systems (promotion ratios, rotation, performance evaluations, assessment of the programme by the participants, etc.), in addition:
MAR Programme
The MAR Programme involves a system of career management of the participants by HR professionals who, every six months report on their progress, skills acquired or challenges encountered.
Scholarships
The beneficiaries of the EW Scholarships are monitored on a quarterly basis by professional women with extensive experience in the company, throughout the two-year duration of the scholarships.

We gave visibility to the work of our women in Peru. During the month dedicated to professional women in 2021, different activities such as workshops, forums and competitions were held.
